Our Program

Program Overview

The Outdoor Adventure Learning Program introduces students to practical outdoor skills while strengthening their connection and interaction with nature. Through hands-on activities in gardens, forest areas, and camp settings, students learn about sustainability, basic survival knowledge, teamwork, and environmental awareness in a fun and engaging way.

This program encourages students to step outside the classroom, experience nature directly, and develop confidence through outdoor challenges and collaborative activities.

Sustainable Farming Experience

Overview

Students learn about sustainability efforts and practical applications in the garden through guided activities and interactive exploration.

Activities
  • Introduction on sustainability efforts and gardening practices
  • Explore the orchid garden through a guided tour or interactive game while learning about plant uniqueness
  • Participate in planting selected crops in the garden and tagging them with wooden labels
  • Receive progress updates from staff after the activity to track plant growth

Camp Experience

Overview

Students are introduced to basic camping skills while building teamwork and responsibility through shared outdoor activities.

Activities
  • Join an orchid garden tour with interactive bingo or guided walk
  • Learn Camping 101, including how to set up and dismantle a tent
  • Participate in team-based camp games
  • Learn basic fire science and safe fire-starting methods
  • Practice building campfire using flint and steel
  • Dismantle and pack the tent properly after use

Survival Activity

Overview

Students learn fundamental survival knowledge and how to read natural signs in the environment. The activities focus on awareness, observation, and basic survival logic rather than extreme survival scenarios.

  • Reading moss growth for direction and potential water sources
  • Identifying animal tracks
  • Understanding lush vegetation as a sign of water availability
  • Observing sun movement for orientation

  • Finding water sources and simple water filtration methods
  • Fire basics and how to start a fire safely
